Brimbank Pride Month 2025: Rainbow Families Day Out

Movies, circus and more…screenings of RUNT and In a Heartbeat followed by circus workshop by Curbside Carnies.
This Pride Month, Brimbank City Council is hosting a number of events that aims to support the LGBTQIA+ and ally communities within the local government area.
One of these events is a Rainbow Family Day Out!
In a Heartbeat
Is a beautifully crafted film that deserves recognition for its creative elements and impactful message. A 2017 animated short film directed by Esteban Bravo and Beth David.

RUNT
Craig Silvey’s beloved best-selling novel leaps onto the big screen in a charming new Australian family movie. RUNT is the heartfelt and hilarious tale of eleven-year-old Annie Shearer and her best friend Runt, an adopted stray dog with remarkable abilities. The all-Australian ensemble cast includes Jai Courtney, Jack Thompson, Celeste Barber, Deborah Mailman, Genevieve Lemon, and features newcomers Lilly LeTorre and RUNT.
