JOY Rainbow Sessions is JOY’s brand new initiative to celebrate and elevate LGBTQIA+ artists, bringing you front and centre with the most exciting out-and-proud acts in the country.

A series of intimate live shows building on JOY 94.9’s history of music passion and connection to the LGBTQIA+ communities, JOY Rainbow Sessions brings together passionate music fans and the out-and-proud artists making waves across the country and abroad in a celebration of music, culture, and community.

We’re kicking off JOY Rainbow Sessions with R&B-soul artist EMEREE

Recognised as one of NME’s top 100 artists of 2025, and a Splice “Producer to Watch”, EMEREE proudly represents female producers, queer artists, and women in music.

EMEREE’s debut EP Gold, recorded across Australia and in New York City, delved into soul and R&B while showcasing her incredible four-octave vocal range. She says her new EP Maybe I’m Not Too Sensitive (I Am) is her “proudest production work to date”, with highlights Locked In, Spring Cleaning, and Eyesore.
