Printed Protest: Graphic Activism from the Australian Queer Archives
Exhibition dates: June 1 to July 31
Location: Pride Gallery
This exhibition highlights posters, banners and placards across the decades that have focused on campaigns of social and political change for LGBTIQ+ communities. From the early days of Gay Liberation to Law Reform, the AIDS crisis and response, Marriage Equality and Trans visibility/rights. Printed Protest showcases the creativity and determination of LGBTIQ+ communities through the imagery, messaging and artwork that pushed for change. With material from the Australian Queer Archives collection.
Co-presented by the Australian Queer Archives and Victorian Pride Centre.
