Step Inside the Victorian Pride Centre for Open House Melbourne

As part of Open House Melbourne, the Victorian Pride Centre is opening its doors for a rare opportunity to explore the building’s striking design and deep connection to LGBTIQ+ communities.

Across Friday 25 and Saturday 26 July, visitors are invited to roam the Centre at their own pace or join a guided tour to discover how architecture, community, and symbolism come together in this purpose-built space—the first of its kind in Australia.

Guided by the architects themselves on Friday, and our knowledgeable Pride Centre tour guides across both days, each 45-minute session dives into the Centre’s unique form, function, and the stories woven into its very walls. Whether you’re an architecture enthusiast, a supporter of queer communities, or just curious, it’s a fascinating look into the creation of a space designed for inclusion, visibility, and pride.

You’ll also have the chance to explore the building’s art gallery, soak in the rooftop views, and enjoy the shared spaces that bring people together every day.
