SUMMARY:Pride in Employment Careers Fair
DESCRIPTION:Join the Pride in Employment\, a career fair built to empower LGBTIQA+ job seekers to advocate for themselves and find workplaces where they can show up fully as who they are. Meet employers face-to-face\, explore open roles across industries\, and get practical tools through workshops on self-advocacy\, navigating disclosure\, and asking the right questions to evaluate a workplace’s culture for yourself. \nConnect with employee resource groups\, organisations\, and other job seekers building their careers on their own terms. This expo isn’t about handing you a list of “approved” employers\, it’s about giving you the confidence\, language\, and resources to assess fit and advocate for what you need\, wherever you work. Open to job seekers at all career stages. Free to attend and open to the public. Bring your resume\, your questions\, and come ready to network. Let’s build careers where you don’t have to choose between who you are and where you work. \nProgram to be announced. This careers fair is supported by Endeavour Group.

SUMMARY:Colourful Queer Futures - Wear it Purple Day Panel
DESCRIPTION:Wear It Purple Day exists to show young LGBTIQA+ people they have a future worth looking forward to – Queer Futures. \nThis panel brings together LGBTIQA+ community members who are actively building the future they once couldn’t see for themselves. At the centre of that story is ballroom culture: a community that created its own world\, its own language\, and its own future when the mainstream refused to make space. \nFrom the ballroom floor to advocacy\, art\, and beyond\, our panellists will share what it means to imagine a queer future and then go and build it. The event asks one simple question: What does your queer future look like? \nJoin us at the Victorian Pride Centre this August for an honest\, celebratory\, and community-led conversation about where we’ve come from and where we’re headed. \nBecause every young LGBTIQA+ person deserves to see their future clearly. This event is presented in partnership with Endeavour Group.
