I am searching for a production team to help me get my solo show off the ground. Could this be you? This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills your chosen area of theatre production and work in a kick-arse all-queer team.

This work is voluntary (unfortunately) however, for your work, I can offer an exchange of Reiki treatments & free access to any of my embodiment workshops.

ABOUT HOLLY

Holly Rowan will be exploring their personal experience of being a non-binary person seeking healing in spiritual settings, through clown, alternative comedy and physical theatre. Holly is a kick-arse multidisciplinary performer & ultra human from London UK who has come all this way to perform just for you Melbournian babes. Their creativity is also informed by their work as an embodiment coach: specialising in coaching people in the queer community who are experiencing gender dysphoria, eating disorders and addiction. They are a huge advocate for queer rights and want this show to start further conversations around gender and inclusion particularly in healing spaces. They want people to see the gifts of both communities and hope that people will walk away with a sense of unity and possibility.

Here’s a personal note from Holly to you…*hesitates*… it’s potentially a bit of an overshare… but…

Beautiful people of Melbourne!  

Some say that a problem shared is a problem halved… So… this my personal plea for you to join me on my queer spiritual healing journey… I’m a hot mess right now and I need some support. My therapist suggested that I go on this spiritual retreat to get to know myself and to gain more clarity around my gender identity… and now I’m stuck here, the only queer on this silent retreat  facilitated by this ultra heteronormative, toxically positive, bullshit spiritual guide who doesn’t get me… *deep inhale, sigh it out*… Okay… so I need queers, I need allies, I need community and some actual reliable spiritual advice… can you help?!  I’m trusting that with your support we can all march forth on this journey to beyond-the-binary enlightenment together. Let’s get chaotic and find self-love on the way. WE FUCKING DESERVE IT. 

ROLES: 

Stage manager: assisting with set design/scenography/costume/sound/lighting for show

x2 Assistant director/choreographer/dramaturg: assisting with the voice/movement/character/dramaturg aspect of the piece – preferably with an understanding of physical theatre and/or clown

PR: social media/trailer/research (survey creation)/promo/making connections
