LGBTQIA+ Intergenerational social connection in Whitehorse – call for participants

About

Whitehorse City Council and Swinburne University are looking for participants for a new community-based research project focussing on building social connection between LGBTQIA+ community members and allies aged 12-17 and over 65.

Do you live, work or play in the Whitehorse area?

Whitehorse includes: Balwyn North, Blackburn, Blackburn North, Blackburn South, Box Hill, Box Hill North, Box Hill South, Burwood, Burwood East, Forest Hill, Mitcham, Mont Albert, Mont Albert North, Nunawading, Surrey Hills, Vermont and Vermont South.

If you are an LGBTQIA+ community member or an ally aged between 12-18, or aged over 65, you are eligible to be part of this new intergenerational social group, which will pilot a program of activities between July to October this year.

Participation in the project will involve joining a free, fun, arts-based activity once per week for 12 weeks.

Beginning 19 July-4 October, 2023 at 4.30-5.30pm, the pilot will be led by professional facilitators at Box Hill Community Arts Centre, 470 Station St, Box Hill.
