VincentCare – LGBTQI+ Housing and youth support services

About

VincentCare is a specialist housing and homelessness service that supports people who are homeless, at risk of being homeless or experiencing a housing crisis. This includes couch surfing, emergency or insecure accommodation, rooming or boarding housing – or being kicked out of home and having nowhere to go.

At VincentCare, we understand that if you’re LGBTQI, you might face some additional challenges. We know that LGBTQI people – and especially young trans people – are over-represented in the homelessness population.

Our LGBTQI+ Portfolio provides comprehensive support to LGBTQI+ youth, aged 17-25, in accessing safe and inclusive housing and services. You will be matched to a case manager who is part of the rainbow community, and can facilitate the intake process. Running from the Northern Hub, we can facilitate those who live in Northern suburbs, or would like to live in Northern suburbs.

We can:

  • help you find crisis accommodation
  • support you in finding sustainable housing
  • refer you to other LGBTQI-friendly services
  • provide information about support or peer groups
  • help with mental health, alcohol or drug issues, general health, employment or family violence

We are a part of VincentCare, who are registered as a: Not-for-profit.
