Accessibility and inclusivity were key considerations in the design of the Victorian Pride Centre. During community consultation, feedback highlighted the need for improved wheelchair access, particularly in shared spaces.
As a result, the central staircase was redesigned with cutaway elements, ensuring that wheelchair users can actively participate as both audience members and performers when the stairs and mezzanine are used as a stage. This modification reflects the Centre’s commitment to creating a space where everyone can engage, connect, and be seen.
