Look from the Mezzanine toward the street. The tunnel-like shapes in the building’s design create a sense of connection between the outside world and inner sanctuary of the Pride Centre. The architects behind the centre’s design were also influenced by the Moorish-style arches and motifs seen throughout the iconic buildings of St Kilda.
The arched and circular shapes throughout the building have also been described as honeycomb-like, giving the sense that the centre is a hive a of activity and connection.
