Become a Speaker

Become a Speaker with the Victorian Pride Centre’s LGBTIQA+ Speakers Bureau

Welcome to the Victorian Pride Centre (VPC) LGBTIQA+ Speakers Bureau! This initiative highlights the voices and expertise of LGBTIQA+ individuals, including graduates of the Telling it with Pride Speakers (TiPS) Program. By joining the Bureau, you’ll connect with exciting speaking opportunities while showcasing your skills and experience to a wide audience.

What Is the Speakers Bureau?

The VPC Speakers Bureau is an online directory that makes it easy for event organisers to find and book speakers. Your profile will feature your areas of expertise, availability, and a badge marking your achievement as a TiPS Program Graduate (if applicable). The Bureau is designed to simplify the booking process while promoting LGBTIQA+ talent and expertise.

Why Join the Bureau?

  • Expand Your Reach: Be featured on the VPC website and connect with a network of organisations and events.
  • Promote Your Skills: Highlight your expertise and secure speaking engagements.
  • Earn Income: Access paid opportunities through our streamlined booking process.

How It Works

  1. Profile Listing: Your profile will be part of an easy-to-navigate directory where event organisers can browse speakers and submit booking requests.
  2. Booking Fees and Revenue Split:
    • Speakers’ Share: You’ll receive 70% of the booking fee.
    • Bureau Retained Income: 30% is retained to cover administrative costs and support the TiPS Program.
  3. Payment Process: Payments are made via direct deposit within 14 business days of event completion.
  4. Invoicing and Transparency: The Bureau manages invoicing for you and provides an earnings statement after each engagement.
