After experiencing sexual assault at her university campus, Florence (Flo) struggles with the lasting impacts it has had on her life, including her loved ones. Advocating for herself comes with significant challenges, as her relationships with others have been irrevocably changed.

The cataclysm of sexual violence begins to unearth the unsettling prevalence of male violence in each character’s lives as they attempt to maintain a sense of normal, unravelling in a surrealist setting.

The audience are placed within the world of the play, creating a bystander effect. Forcing the audience to observe the dilemma of what happens next when we have been affected by male violence, causing a ripple effect through our community. Audiences are voyeurs to the external and internal struggles of the characters.

In a reality where the number of women and gender-diverse people killed in so-called Australia goes up almost weekly, experience the raw complexity of being human with Autonomy of Flo(w)’s World Premiere staging, asking: Male violence – what happens after?
