Wanting to volunteer at Australia’s first purpose-built centre for LGBTIQ+ communities?

Volunteers are the cornerstone of the Pride Centre, whether it’s as the friendly faces on the concierge desk, part of the passionate events team, as knowledgeable tour guides, or the VPC Board. The Pride Centre depends on the dedication and commitment of our volunteers to the vision of creating a welcoming, celebratory, and inclusive home for LGBTIQ+ communities and organisations.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we rely on the skills and experience of community members from a range of areas to contribute to the ongoing establishment and evolution of the Pride Centre, community members just like you.

If you’re interested in hearing more about our Concierge volunteer program or other opportunities we run quarterly information nights. Please contact volunteer@pridecentre.org.au to register your interest.

Already a volunteer? Manage your shifts and access your roster here.

Join our growing guided tours team! We have opportunities available for passionate and experienced tour guides to contribute their skills to our tours program. We invite people from all backgrounds and a connection to LGBTIQ+ communities to apply.

Tour times and availability:

Regular public tours are held at 3pm each Saturday and Sunday (with some exceptions for long weekends and key LGBTIQ+ events).

Organisational, school and community group tour bookings are also extremely popular and we hope to build our capacity for providing informative and engaging tours to increase the reach impact of the centre.

Please read a Position Description of the role here and send your CV and a brief cover letter to volunteer@pridecentre.org.au.
