The Big Gay Comedy Pageant is exactly what it says on the tin. Hosted by the all-singing, all-roasting, purple-blazer-wearing duo of Jude Perl & Charlie Lewin, this is a comedy night with a twist. Set up as a glitzy and harebrained pageant, Australia’s finest queer comedians will compete in the Pride Centre’s night of nights. Jude and Charlie bookend the night with musical numbers and ridiculous pageant heats, as star competitors work to present their talent, answer hard-hitting audience questions, and maybe even show off their swimsuits. In the end, everyone’s a winner, but only one can be crowned the illustrious (and gender neutral) Mx Congeniality. Let’s go, queers.
