Watercolour Paintings of Cats

This event will be half social chats with a bunch of like-minded queer people and half fun, educational and interactive workshop. It’s part of a series of queer socials happening at the Victorian Pride Centre for Pride Month in June.

Come and enjoy the wonderful world of watercolour paintings!

This beginners class will teach you skills and techniques to create your own piece of watercolour art focusing on cats!

We will experiment with colour and shapes, beginner exercises and end with more realisitc cats. to create a fun colourful cats

All materials provided. Just come and have a wonderful time!

 

What will we cover?

This beginner’s painting class will:

  • Focus on using watercolour and illustration skills
  • Cover drawing and composition
  • Teach the basic of watercolour paints through a playful approach
  • Help you achieve a watercolour cat illustration!

What will I need?

  • All materials provided, just bring something to take your artworks home safely.

Who will be teaching?

Jess Wilson (Dubblu) is a multidisciplinary artist, illustrator and muralist based in Footscray. Her work focuses on immersive experiences, employing a variety of techniques from audio, animation and sensory.

If she can convince her audience to climb into a pipe or crawl on the ground she considers it to be a success. She is the Creative Designer for Science Play Kids, as well as a workshop facilitator to make science and art accessible for all.
