Join us in celebrating love and support for the LGBTQIA+ community through art!
In support of IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism, and Transphobia) on May 17, we invite all young people in our community to contribute a piece of artwork to create a mural at each branch, reflecting their perception of love, acceptance, and support for the LGBTQIA+ community.

How to participate
Use the IDAHOBIT Rainbow Heart as inspiration, interpreting it in your own creative way.

Express yourself through a painting, drawing, or digital art.

If you choose to submit a painting or drawing, you can

collect a canvas from any branch to work on at home and return to the library once complete
create artwork during programs like Chill & Chat
work on your artwork in the library – some branches may provide a designated space
Please ensure your artwork includes your name, age, contact details, and library card number if you are a Brimbank Libraries member.

Who can enter
This competition is designed for all young people aged 14-25 years.
