Enjoy a relaxing stroll along the Darebin and Donaldson Creeks, starting at Alphington and looping back to finish at Darebin Station.

GRADE | LENGTH | TYPE: Grade 2: moderate 6 km walk (graded according to the AWTGS: Australian Walking Tracks Grading System).

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION: Starting at Alphington Railway Station (10:50am), we head north to the Darebin Parklands for a look at the former basalt quarries which supplied stone for local infrastructure, gravel for roads, houses etc and now has several lakes and a bird habitat. We follow a bike path along Darebin Creek to our lunch spot near Banksia Street. Heading south along Donaldson Creek we arrive at Rockbeare Park for a rest and the option to have drinks etc at the Ivanhoe Hotel, just a short walk from the Ivanhoe railway station.
