Voices Unbound: A Night of Connection, Conversation & Creativity

The Victorian Pride Centre, in partnership with AGMC, proudly presents Voices Unbound – a powerful evening of storytelling, empowerment, and celebration in honour of Cultural Diversity Week 2025.

Cultural Diversity Week, encompassing Harmony Week (March 17-23), is a time to embrace respect, understanding, and belonging for people of all backgrounds. This year’s theme, “Embrace the Journey, Shape Our Future,” invites us to reflect on our diverse cultural stories and the collective future we are building together.

At Voices Unbound, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals from diverse cultural and faith backgrounds. Be inspired by our incredible speakers, including best-selling author and transformation coach Rugare Gomo, and writer, composer, and advocate Xiaole Zhan.

🎤 Step Up to the Mic!
As part of the evening, we invite YOU to share your voice in our open mic poetry session. Whether you’re a seasoned poet or sharing for the first time, this is a space to express your truth, culture, and identity in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Expect thought-provoking discussions, meaningful connections, and an atmosphere of inclusivity and solidarity. Plus, enjoy delicious catering from the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, reinforcing the importance of community support and shared experiences.

Come be part of a night that sparks change, builds bridges, and celebrates the beauty of our diverse identities.
