‘Peak theatre, brilliant theatre… Camp and whimsical and sweet.’ Praise Dionysus!

‘The Frog’ by Big Dog Theatre, is a whimsical, absurdist comedy about unlikely friendships and a life spent working to rest. Frog is an accountant, content in his misery, who one day catches a delicious, juicy Fly on his way home from work. In a bid to escape, the Fly offers to help Frog search for a lost family heirloom, and the pair begrudgingly set out on an adventure, surprised by the friendships they discover along the way.

With magical simplicity and unbound imagination, Big Dog Theatre will transport even the grumpiest of desk dwellers to every corner of a whimsical world. The work reflects on life and loneliness, as well as work and purpose, inviting the audience to contemplate the peculiarities of existence and the unexpected bonds that can form amidst life’s comedic chaos.
