If your favourite coffee mug could talk to you, what would it say? Does your thrifted sweater have a history that you don’t know about? What do the streetlights see on rainy evenings?

This whimsical workshop will teach you how to use everyday objects and spaces as sources of inspiration in your writing, encouraging you to think outside the box, let go of logic, and allow your imagination to take centre stage.

Please bring along a notebook and a small object for the workshop (this could be a trinket, a stone, a key ring, a stuffed toy, a saucepan – any object you would like to give voice to).

Ivy Crago is a Theatre-Maker, Writer, and Producer based in Melbourne/Naarm. A 2022 graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts in Theatre, their work is playful and imaginative, often inspired by the absurdity within the mundane. Ivy has presented work at Melbourne Fringe Hub, Darebin’s FUSE Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and more. As a poet, they draw from the natural world, with work published in Devotion Zine and Sour Cherry, and performed at venues such as Merri Creek Tavern. They also have experience in marketing, producing, and programming, with roles at Midsumma Festival and the Victorian Pride Centre.
