The Australian LGBTIQA+ Music Awards (The ALMAs) are a new, national platform dedicated to celebrating the exceptional talent of queer artists across Australia. Despite their vital role in shaping our sound and culture, these artists have never had their own dedicated awards.

We’re creating the ALMAs to fill that gap, to provide the recognition, visibility, and career boost this community deserves.

Our inaugural event in June 2026 will be a landmark night of celebration, broadcast live from our home in St Kilda.

We need your support to make it a reality. As a new, non-profit initiative, we rely on community generosity to fund essential costs like fairly compensating the performing artists, producing the awards, live streaming, and staging.
