About

Lalala Outpick is a queer women led environmental group based in Melbourne. Lalala Outpick connects queer women and allies from culturally diverse backgrounds through litter picking across Victoria. We aim to connect the queer community, especially from migrant diasporic background, through litter picking as the environmental action. Established since February 2022, until July 2025, Lalala Outpick has organised over 34 events, collaborated with other queer groups through joint litter picking and spread our footprints across urban space and regional parks with more than 200 participants.

We also have our documentary, Outpicker, a queer environmental story about a migrant queer woman finds the sense of belong in Australian landscape through litter picking, which won the Best Victorian Short Non-Fiction Film at Multicultural Film Festival 2025 by Victorian Multicultural Commission.
