QSpace @ headpsace Glenroy

About

QSpace is a social and support group for LGBTIQ young people aged 15 to 25. This youth-led group is run by the QSpace team at headspace Glenroy: four youth facilitators and a headspace GP.

Sessions have been run over Zoom in 2020 and early 2021. We hope to return to face to face sessions at headspace Glenroy later in 2021. Most sessions are run by two youth facilitators. Some sessions are run by a youth facilitator and a GP, when we have a focus on an aspect of health for part of the session. We play a lot of games, share music, laughs and stories.

QSpace is a safe space where participants can choose whether and how much they speak and participate. In past QSpace sessions we have made art, played board games, online games, learned about LGBTIQ history, chatted to folks from other organisations like YGender, Youthlaw and Oxygen youth space.  QSpace has been running for over 5 years, and are currently supported by a grant from City of Moreland.  If you’d like to come along or ask more about QSpace please call or email us via headspace Glenroy.  New participants are welcome!

Opening Times: 3rd Wednesday of every month from 4 to 6pm. Sometimes we run extra sessions (e.g. 6 Jan 2021) and movie nights.
