Safe Steps operates Victoria’s only 24/7 statewide family and domestic violence crisis support service. We provide confidential and compassionate assistance to anyone experiencing family and domestic violence, offering immediate support, safety planning, and emergency response coordination.
We are Rainbow Tick accredited, demonstrating our commitment to providing safe, inclusive, and affirming support for LGBTIQA+ people in crisis.
Whether you need urgent intervention or guidance on your options, we are just a call away.
How We Can Help
Safe Steps provides a lifeline to individuals and families in crisis. Our services include:
- 24/7 Crisis Support – Immediate assistance to help you take the first step to safety.
- Crisis Accommodation – Safe and supportive spaces for individuals and families escaping violence.
- Disability Support – Accessible, inclusive assistance through our Disability Family Violence Crisis Response Initiative.
- Pets in Crisis Program – Temporary housing and care for pets in partnership with animal shelters.
- Family Advocacy and Support Services (FASS) – Social support in collaboration with the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
