Our mission is simple: First, to offer reasonably priced and uniquely personal farewells, funerals, and end of life rituals that reflect each individual’s authentic self. Second, to offer a gentle and secure circle of support to those grieving a loss.

Serving Melbourne and country Victoria, The Last Hurrah Funerals caters for all people of all nations, cultures, subcultures, and persuasions. Secular and atheist funerals are a speciality, and earth-based rituals and ceremonies are thoroughly catered for. We also work with clergy and can offer non-denominational all-faith ceremony.

The Last Hurrah team supports all kinds farewells from no-fuss funerals, body donations or memorial-only farewells to lengthy vigils, the family taking the deceased home to lie in state, or at our venue, late-night wakes for weeping and rousing remembrance, shroud burial, DIY funeral assistance, and more.

The Last Hurrah hold no specific ethos in regard to how the dead should be farewelled; instead our primary aim is to support those who are grieving to farewell their kith and kin in a way that is meaningful to them, and to create funerals and rites that truly and authentically reflect the person who has died.
