Hey! My name’s Divina (she/her) – but you can call me Div.

I’m a queer woman of colour. I’m also a marriage celebrant in Melbourne – and I could be your marriage celebrant.

I started Your Queer Celebrant while planning my own wedding.

I had to navigate the challenge of honouring my cultural heritage
(I’m Filipino) while balancing my conservative family expectations and my (and my wife’s) own values and beliefs.

I wanted someone who truly understood this. But I couldn’t find anyone. I didn’t think this was fair, so while planning my wedding, I became a marriage celebrant.

The queer community and Filipinos kept our cultures alive through storytelling. I bring this approach to weddings. I’m here to tell your story and bring your guests.

My goal is to create ceremonies that honour the beauty and resilience of our queer community but also embrace the love.
After all, our love has triumphed through it all.

I want you to feel empowered knowing you are supported by a village – on your wedding day and on every other day.
