Biography
Bayley Turner is a writer, performer, consent advocate, intimacy coordinator and proud member of the queer and transgender communities. Bayley founded the consultancy 'Create Consent' to deliver sexual violence prevention education and initiatives as well as inclusion practices to workplaces, working primarily with mainstage and independent theatre companies, extending to the screen, music, gaming and medical industries. She has been published in Archer Magazine, drip(feed) and Mamamia among others, and she was a winner of the Empower H*r Voice writing competition in 2021. Bayley has a wealth of experience as a public speaker, having presented at SXSW Sydney, AusAct, TILDE Melbourne, Inner West Council NSW, Creative State Summit VIC, The Australian Homosexual Histories Conference, Equity Conference UK and more. She has been a frequent contributor and moderator on various panels and roundtables, and has MCd the Trans Takeover powerlifting event since its inception in 2022. Bayley's speaking experience is also inherent in her work as a facilitator and educator, having delivered to Fremantle Media, Safe + Equal, Arts Centre Melbourne and more. Bayley's speaking style is earnest, articulate, charismatic, informative and joyful, always aiming to bring a fresh perspective, lateral though and impactful motivation for positive change.
