Biography
Iona is a speaker and writer who knows the power of personal storytelling for empathy and self-understanding. They are joyously queer and autistic, with lived experience of disability, caring for others with disability, parenting outside the binary and leading inclusion in their workplace.
Iona is a public servant with a career spanning academia and private sector evaluation, always with an interest in education and how individual and collective action powers change.
Experience
Iona is a graduate of the Telling it With Pride Speakers Program and appeared in the Midsumma 2026 TiPS showcase. They have workplace experience in hosting events, stakeholder engagement, briefings to key decision makers and presentations to large audiences.
