Biography

Short story: I'm a Vietnamese-Australian, queer, autistic, trans man.

With a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) qualification from Deakin University, I have extensive experience in the mental health and disability sector. This includes: group logistics and facilitation in a Psychosocial Support Service (PSS), NDIS Psychosocial Recovery Coaching and NDIS Mental Health Support Work. More recently, I’ve explored the education space, studying education support.

During a gap year, I had the honour of performing in a queer theatre show called ‘The Love Booth', a collaboration between Australian and Canadian researchers and artists. From these connections, my achievements include:

- Writing and recording an original song about my trans experiences with a Canadian academic and musician. This recording took place in Toronto.
- Co-facilitating songwriting workshops at the University of Toronto (OISE) as part of queer arts-based research. The workshops encompassed verbatim theatre, songwriting and costume design.
- Delivering an academic presentation at the Canadian Society for Studies in Education (CSSE); Congress 2025. It was about TGD research.
- Co-developing transgender education curriculum for teacher candidates and undergraduate students in childhood studies programs.

Mental health volunteering background:
- Youth Advocacy Group (YAG) member with headspace Sunshine.
- Co-developed trans and gender diverse (TGD) inclusive practice guidelines with clinicians.
- Co-developed bi-lingual mental health resources.
- Developed social media content for LGBTIQA+ and mental health advocacy.
-Delivered a speech to year twelve students about ‘Redefining Success’.

- Facebook Support Administrator with Anxiety Disorders Association of Victoria (ADAVIC)
- Provision of online, non-clinical mental health support, resources and referral.
- Social media moderation and community building.
- Trained new administrators on the team.
