Biography

With a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) qualification from Deakin University, I’ve been working professionally in the mental health and disability sector in various roles. This includes: group logistics and facilitation in a Psychosocial Support Service (PSS), NDIS Psychosocial Recovery Coaching and Mental Health Support Work.

- Youth Advocacy Group (YAG) member with headspace Sunshine
- Co-developed trans and gender diverse (TGD) inclusive practice guidelines with clinicians.
- Co-developed bi-lingual mental health resources.
- Developed social media content for LGBTIQA+ and mental health advocacy.

- Facebook Support Administrator with Anxiety Disorders Association of Victoria (ADAVIC)

Experience

- Extensive experience held in facilitating groups in the non-clinical mental health space (i.e., peer and community based support services). I ran kickboxing, online games and LGBTIQA+ peer support groups.
- Delivered a speech to year twelve students at a study camp about ‘Redefining Success’ as part of youth advocacy with headspace.
- Invited to speak at the Canadian Society for the Study Of Education (CSSE) conference as a co-researcher of trans and gender diverse (TGD) research.
- Invited to co-facilitate songwriting workshops at the University of Toronto as part of arts-based research.
- Participated in a community TV interview with Bent TV on ‘The T on the T: Trans in Conversation’.
- A Community Ambassador who participated in Genwest’s Take Up Space web series on season one and two.
