📅 Sunday 28 June
🕙 Meet at 10:00am at 1000 Steps Carpark
Join us for a relaxed and social group hike through one of Victoria’s most iconic walking tracks. The 1000 Steps Kokoda Memorial Walk offers a beautiful forest setting, fresh mountain air, and a rewarding challenge surrounded by towering fern gullies and eucalyptus trees.
This event is designed for people who enjoy getting outdoors, meeting new people, and challenging themselves at their own pace. Whether you’re a regular hiker or just getting started, you’re welcome to join.
Walk Difficulty
This is considered a moderate to challenging walk due to the steep staircase sections and steady incline. While the walk itself is relatively short, it can be physically demanding.
Approx. 3km return loop
Expect plenty of stairs and uphill climbing
Allow around 1–1.5 hours depending on pace
Reasonable fitness recommended
We’ll take breaks as needed and keep the group together.
