“Talk to everyone you know about it. Tell your hairdresser that we’re thinking of becoming parents. I know it sounds crazy, but there is another surrogacy couple that I know of whose hairdresser offered to be their surrogate. So, it’s all about telling people, sharing your experience.” – Rachel Morrison, IVF Surrogate.
The Victorian Pride Centre was proud to host the Family Building Pathways Panel in partnership with Genea Fertility. This inclusive and informative event explored the many ways rainbow families are created from the initial decision to pursue parenthood, to finding a donor, to conception and beyond.
Moderated by Rachel Morrison, the panel featured:
- Fertility specialists Dr Chandrika Parmar and Dr Alice Huang
- Clinic Manager Marianne Cummins
- Genea IVF patient Miriam
Held in the Theatrette at the Victorian Pride Centre, the panel offered heartfelt insights, expert advice, and community connection for LGBTIQA+ individuals and couples navigating their own paths to parenthood followed by a morning tea social.
