Expressions of Interest Now Open – Exhibition of Life

This October, Genea Fertility, in collaboration with the Victorian Pride Centre, invites LGBTIQA+ artists and allies to submit an Expression of Interest for the Exhibition of Life – a celebration of life, creation, and the many forms that family can take.

The Exhibition of Life will explore the theme of life, interpreted in any way the artist chooses. This might include the literal beginnings of life, personal transformation, new chapters, identity, or the emotional complexities of creating life through fertility treatment.

Brief

Artists are invited to create a work that engages with the theme of life in any form. Interpretations can be literal, symbolic, abstract, emotional, humorous, or hopeful. Works may reflect personal experiences with IVF, the idea of family and community, or broader expressions of what it means to live, grow, and create.

We welcome works in any medium, including painting, sculpture, photography, textiles, digital media, or mixed media. Artists may submit an existing work or propose a new piece to be completed ahead of the exhibition.

• Dates: 13–27 October 2025

• Location: Pride Gallery, Victorian Pride Centre

• Promotion: Selected artists will have their work exhibited in the Pride Gallery and may be featured in Genea Fertility and Victorian Pride Centre communications and social media.

• Payment: $250
