In recent years, there has been a boom in biographies and history books exploring the living experiences of LGBTQIA+ Australians and changes to Australian society.

Join historian and author Noah Riseman and host Daniel Brace, in a discussion about Australian LGBTQIA+ history. They will discuss Noah’s research journey to uncover the hidden lives of LGBTQIA+ Defence members and trans Australians more broadly.

The 2024 Brimbank Writers & Readers Festival

The Brimbank Writers & Readers Festival is a yearly event that celebrates and encourages a love of reading, storytelling, creativity, diversity and learning. This years festival takes place from Thursday 14 March until Saturday 23 March 2024.

Brimbank City Council is delighted to present the 2024 Program, supported by Principal sponsor Victoria University, and partnered events with the Bowery Theatre, BorrowBox, Vision Australia, local writers and community groups.
