About

The Melbourne Smashers is a friendly, inclusive LGBTIQ+ badminton club based at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC) in Albert Park.

As one of Melbourne’s largest LGBTIQ+ sporting clubs and badminton clubs, we attract an average of 70 to 90 players at each session, playing across 9 to 12 courts. Our membership includes 350 members, with a cost of $40. Members pay $12 per session, while we offer a few guest spots on our weekend sessions for $18.

We play in the evenings and during the day, several times a week at MSAC. In addition to regular badminton sessions, we host a variety of monthly social events such as board game nights, karaoke, hiking, and bike riding. Our commitment to being open and welcoming to all is reflected in our vibrant community and popular events.

Please register as a guest to secure your spot, as guest places are limited. A limited number of racquets are available for newcomers to borrow, and feather shuttlecocks are provided at all sessions.
