Artists in Conversation: Top, Don’t Be Too Polite and Scars // Stars
March 29 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Join us for an engaging artist discussion on Top by Clem McNabb and Jet Dwyer, Don’t Be Too Polite by the Australian Queer Archives, and Scars // Stars by Ace Astrophel Hengel. These exhibitions explore queer and trans identity, resilience, and activism through art and storytelling. A unique opportunity to hear from the artists and delve deeper into the themes of their work.
Top, a collaboration by Clem McNabb and Jet Dwyer depicts the experience of three friends as they navigate individual experiences with top surgery. The work explores the complexity of medically transitioning, and invites reflection on the complexities of body, self-expression and community.
Don’t Be Too Polite: Feminist Posters and their Collectives highlights the vital contributions of Australian lesbian-feminist artists and print collectives over the past five decades, showcasing their roles in LGBTIQA+ activism and artistic expression.
Scars // Stars is a one-of-a-kind work that celebrates the beauty of identity, self-expression, and visibility within the Trans community.
