Booking fees

A three-tiered fee structure is in place at the Pride Centre 

  • Commercial rate 
  • Discounted rate for large not for profit organisations*  
  • Discounted rate for small not for profit organisations or individuals **   

*Large not for profit organisation – an organisation classified as large by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission based on annual revenue. 

**Small not-for-profit organisation – an organisation classified as small or medium by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission based on annual revenue. 

Organisations or community groups hiring meeting rooms or event spaces at the Pride Centre must provide evidence of income to receive a discount from the commercial rate. Individuals booking at the Pride Centre for private functions will receive the small not for profit discount.   

Please visit our Book A Space page for fees for individual meeting rooms. Hire Fees for event spaces will vary depending on the type of event. Please submit and enquiry and we will be able to provide you with a quotation.  

Additional Charges

Some bookings may incur additional fees. Once we receive your booking request, we will contact you to discuss your enquiry in more detail and then provide an itemised quote including any additional charges.  

 Personnel and other charges (all ex-GST) 

Change to standard room layout   $20  
Provision of self-service instant coffee/tea (meeting room bookings only, max 15 pax) $10  
Provision of self-service instant coffee/tea (event space bookings only, max 50 pax) $80
Bookings scheduled to start and/or end outside of Pride Centre Operating Hours  $30  
Cleaning fee  VPC will advise costs if there are cleaning costs associated with your event space hire.
Crowd controller fee for events   VPC will advise costs if crowd controllers are required for your event

Fee relief  

For organisation’s experiencing financial hardship, a request for fee relief from the non-commercial rate can be made. Applications must be submitted no later than 60 days before the proposed meeting/event date. Late applications will not be accepted. Please email bookings@pridecentre.org.au for an application form.
