Building Update – Making our New Home Liveable

Even though the external structure of the Pride Centre is complete, we’re playing covid catch-up. There are lots of internal and external details that are being constructed tirelessly until the end of year break. Our building contractors Hansen Yuncken are working day and night to get the fit out completed ready for the resident organisations to start their move in the new year!

Since the last building update, progress has seen the ground floor concrete floors polished and the emu egg inspired atrium with spiral staircase and skylight completed. It is a truly breath-taking centrepiece of the building. Stormwater connection has been finalised, lobby tiling has commenced, amenities tiling continues, cork ceiling linings have begun and glass handrails around the atrium have been installed.

Some of the other progress in the fit out has been – Level four wall cladding commencement, mezzanine level board room cork ceiling, door hanging, lighting installation, window glazing continues, joinery on the ground floor kitchenette and ground floor entry framing commencement.
