Building Update – Almost water tight!

With Stage 4 restrictions easing in metro Melbourne this month, construction on site increased to 85% which has seen the centre buzzing with contractors. Some of the more detailed work is underway now with ammenities being tiled and looking trendy. Window glazing, electrical and mechanical fit outs, terrace membrane arch installation, and plasterboard lining all in progress.

Indoors, the wall sheeting continues with the intricately designed curved plasterboard linings taking shape. The roof top looks really impressive now with the atrium skylight fully installed, the flagpole erect and the terrace membrane arches being installed.

East facade cladding and window installation is nearing completion and the building should be deemed water tight by next month. The wall sheeting and floor is currently being fitted out in JOY’s soon to be offices.

The building should be at practical completion by the next building update or next month, which means Hansen Yuncken will hand the keys to the Pride Centre in preparation to start moving the resident organisations into their new home!
