A good mxn is hard to find.
Mike, Tim, Chris, and Oscar are friends. Sort of. They definitely know each other. Spanning five years and three continents, Melbourne audiences are invited to grab some popcorn and a coke and bear witness as this crazed quartet crash in and out of each other’s lives, hurtling through hook-ups, raves, saunas, and airports. And as the bonds between them are pulled into focus, each will have to confront within themselves the reality of who they are… and what they actually want.
The award-winning team behind DIRT and Naomi now bring you an explosive queer odyssey about life, love, and intimacy in the digital age. Written by Angus Cameron and directed by multi-award-winner Bronwen Coleman (Best Theatre Fringeworld, Frank Ford Award, Critics Prize Adelaide Fringe, Mindshare Mental Health Awareness Award), cavemxn stars four of Australia’s most exciting young actors and is gearing up to be better than the best hookup you’ve ever had. Most likely. At least.
Existential crisis has never been so much fun.
Marking the 40th Anniversary of the first diagnosis of HIV/AIDS in Australia, one dollar from every ticket sold to cavemxn will be donated to Thorne Harbour Health, to support them in their ongoing fight for a future free of HIV.
This season is proudly supported by the City of Stonnington and made possible by Creative Partnerships Australia through MATCH Lab and the Australian Cultural Fund
