Darren is going to lead the bike ride, for a circuit from Essendon to the CBD via Airport West, going to Roasting Warehouse for coffee and brunch! NOTE: booking required by 5pm Wednesday 16 April.

GRADE | LENGTH | TYPE: Medium grade ride of 35 km to Docklands. It’s 11.5 km to the brunch stop, then a further 23.5 km to Southern Cross, making a total of 35 km. For the route map, see Essendon – Airport West – Anglers Tavern – Docklands. There are easy train exit options after brunch via South Kensington, Footscray or Moonee Ponds stations.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION: No time for coffee at the station! Instead we ride for 11.5 km to the Roasting Warehouse, 9 Marshall Rd, Airport West for coffee and brunch. We’ll cycle via Buckley St, the Moonee Ponds Creek path and a reasonably steep climb up Mascoma St. After coffee, we ride through the wonderful Airport West Green Spine Linear Park, then Steele Creek and the Maribyrnong River trails. We’ll ride on to Southern Cross Station via the Maribyrnong River and Footscray Road trails.
