The Victorian Pride Centre is thrilled to present a program of events that celebrate the creativity, passion, and resilience of LGBTIQ+ communities for Pride Month this June!
Join us for music and drag performances at Sunday Sizzle, the Printed Protest exhibition co-presented by Australian Queer Archives, a trans and gender diverse clothing swap co-presented by Ballarat Trans and Gender Diverse Swap Shop, and more to be announced on Facebook and Instagram.

Printed Protest
Exhibition dates: June 1 to July 31
Location: Pride Gallery
This exhibition highlights posters, banners and placards across the decades that have focused on campaigns of social and political change for LGBTIQ+ communities. From the early days of Gay Liberation to Law Reform, the AIDS crisis and response, Marriage Equality and Trans visibility/rights. Printed Protest showcases the creativity and determination of LGBTIQ+ communities through the imagery, messaging and artwork that pushed for change.
Co-presented by the Australian Queer Archives and Victorian Pride Centre.

Welcome to Chechnya
Documentary film screening
Event date: 6.15pm to 9pm, Thursday 2 June
Location: Theatrette, Pride Centre
Join Eleos Justice and Kaleidoscope Human Rights Foundation for a special screening of Welcome to Chechnya at the Victorian Pride Centre.
Connect with fellow advocates and allies at the pre-screening canapés and drinks reception. Then, experience this powerful work of humanitarian filmmaking that unveils Russia’s deadly war against LGBTQ people in the Chechen Republic, and showcases the extraordinary efforts of the people who fought against it.

Sunday Sizzle + shOUT Youth Chorus + Gay Stuff Markets

A very special edition of Sunday Sizzle is taking over the Pride Centre over the first Sunday of Pride Month! This celebration of LGBITQ+ communities starts with a smoking ceremony on the rooftop and includes music by DJ Gay Dad plus performances by some of Melbourne’s most beloved drag artists, along with the fabulous Gay Stuff Markets and shOUT Youth Chorus! No bookings required, just come along to the Pride Centre for an afternoon of queer excellence!

Spill the Tea

Location: Ground floor of the Pride Centre
A free, all-ages event for folks to catch up and connect. Treat yourself to a rainbow cupcake, a lamington and/or hot drink and enjoy the gorgeous surrounds of the ground floor, including the Pride Gallery and beloved bookstore Hares & Hyenas. No bookings required, simply show up and have fun!
