Family Foundations : Strengthening the parenting relationship

Family Foundations is a free parenting relationship program. Having a baby can be extremely joyful but also stressful on the best of relationships. The program is fun and interactive.

Family Foundations is evidence based and aims to strengthen the parenting team by building skills around:

• emotional regulation,
• stress management,
• conflict resolution,
• attachment,
• healthy communication,
• co-parenting support,
• problem solving

Structure of the program:

• 10-week manualized program for families expecting a baby and/or with an infant (aged 0-12 months).
• Each 1-hour session is delivered to both parents/caregivers by 2 professionals (social work or counselling trained) using discussion-based activities, modelling, and skills practice.
• Where possible we try to echo the parenting team
• Delivered online and hopefully returning to home based delivery in 2022.
