Laura is a registered psychologist who works with LGBTQIA+ clients in Fitzroy. She has 8 years experience working with general mental health issues (e.g. depression and anxiety), life-related changes and stressors, trauma, substance use, and eating and body-image related concerns. Laura has a warm and collaborative approach to therapy and sees adults, as well as some children and adolescents in her practice. Prior to entering private practice, Laura worked at Drummond street services, including seeing clients from Queer space. Laura utilizes different therapeutic approaches dependending on the fit with the person and issues, but always starts the therapeutic approach with a collaborative discussion to get to know each individual in the context of their lives, histories and needs from therapy. She has experience with working with LGBTQIA+ clients around intersectionality of culture and religious background.
