Online via Zoom, open to LGBTIQA+ folks who have lost a loved one to suicide.

Join our free LGBTIQA+ support groups, open to LGBTIQA+ community members who are navigating the difficult and often isolating experience of loss through suicide.

This peer-led program hopes to offer LGBTIQA+ people experiencing bereavement through suicide an opportunity to explore their grief in a warm and affirming space where their lives, relationships and experiences are understood and welcomed. A place where community members can connect and support one another, while having discussions about suicide, loss and grief that are so often stigmatised.

This group is held online over Zoom and open to LGBTIQA+ folks around Australia.

GROUPS:

• 8 week ‘Early Bereavement’ support group, held over 8 consecutive weeks for people who are in the first 3 years of bereavement of a loved one.

• Monthly ‘Drop-in’ group for LGBTIQA+ community who have lost a loved one to suicide and looking for a space to share, connect and hear from others. Meeting on the first Wednesday of the month.

• LGBTIQA+ Creative Bereavement Drop-in Sessions which are facilitated around activities encouraging creative expression. These sessions are held approximately every 2 – 3 months.

Our 8 week group is run in partnership with Switchboard Victoria and the Support After Suicide program at Jesuit Social Services.
