About
Walk in and wait clinic (allow at least 2 hours for your visit). On arrival you will speak with a nurse about your sexual health concerns. Depending on what your medical need and daily demands on the service you may be referred to another service or asked to come back on another day. MSHC nurses and doctors provide the following clinical services: Testing and treatment for sexually transmissible infections (STIs) Blood testing for STIs Test results Treatment if required Basic contraceptive advice Emergency contraception (morning after pill) Vaccinations for Hepatitis A, B (where indicated).
Other Clinical Services offered:
- Counselling (by appointment only) Qualified counsellors in sexual health and sexually transmissible infections (STIs), including HIV, are available from Monday to Friday.
- The Green Room (by appointment only) HIV Clinic, services available: Routine HIV related tests Testing and treatment for sexually transmissible infections (STIs) Treatment: Anti-retroviral drugs and some other HIV related medicines are supplied by our onsite pharmacy. Counselling Referrals to other appropriate health services.
- Test And Go (TAG) nurse-led clinic Free sexual health check for men who have sex with men (MSM).
- Outreach services for gay men and other men who have sex with men at various Sex On Premises Venues (SOPVs). The service is free and confidential (can be anonymous) and includes: Testing Vaccination Education and Referral MSHC provides services at the following SOPVs: Bay City Sauna Caulfield Bay City Sauna Seaford Club 80 Subway Sauna Wet on Wellington.
