Nursing The Mind
About
Nursing The Mind offers in person and online counselling sessions. All counselling sessions operate within a trauma-informed therapy framework with a focus on fostering safety and identifying coping strategies that work for you. Whether you have a specific issue to address or seeking general counselling to support your mental health recovery goals, Nursing The Mind aims to provide high quality, therapeutic care. We also believe in collaborative healthcare and will liaise with other health workers in your care team upon request.
Counselling services are provided by Jacqui Cousins. She is a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse and has 15 years experience working in the community health sector. As a nurse, Jacqui works in an inclusive practice model and supports the human right for people to access healthcare they need, without discrimination. Using a range of therapeutic tools, her approach to counselling is to create a safe space for people to identify their strengths and interests, and the role they play in their mental health recovery.
We are registered as: Sole Trader.
