As we bid farewell to Midsumma Festival 2024, our heartfelt appreciation goes out to the multitude of remarkable artists, performers, facilitators, thinkers, speakers, photographers, stallholders and community organisations that joined us in delivering a fabulous multifaceted program for LGBTIQ+ communities.

From January 25 to February 10, the Victorian Pride Centre buzzed with celebration, creativity, and connection. Over 4000 visitors joined us for 19 events throughout our three-week Midsumma Festival Program. Visitors enjoyed a variety of activities, from rooftop parties to a photography exhibition highlighting the experiences of LGBTIQ+ Latinx people living in Australia. Additionally, they engaged in thought-provoking talks on topics such as anti-racism, queer joy, and rainbow families in collaboration with local organisations. Notably, we hosted our first-ever Auslan Interpreted Tour of the Victorian Pride Centre and a rooftop disco.

This year’s Midsumma Program bought together individuals from all walks of life to celebrate LGBTIQ+ culture and create a space where meaningful connections were forged within our communities. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Victorian Pride Centre for future events and programs. Until then, please enjoy some of these highlight shots!
