About Us
Australia's first purpose-built home for LGBTIQA+ communities
More than bricks and mortar the Victorian Pride Centre is a living, breathing space where history is honoured, futures are built, and every person belongs.
Within our walls you’ll find practical services, advocacy organisations, affirming spaces, and genuine opportunities for connection. We house major LGBTIQA+ resident organisations alongside flexible hire spaces such as meeting rooms, a rooftop terrace, co-working spaces, a theatrette, and a gallery.
We exist as a hub where LGBTIQA+ groups share ideas, build resources, and strengthen their work supporting equality, diversity, and inclusion across Victoria.
Resident Organisations Hire a Space Meet our people
The Victorian Pride Centre is sustained by the generous donations from our communities, as well as our amazing Patrons, and those who contribute to our Pride Registry, we thank you for your ongoing support of Australia’s first purpose-built LGBTIQA+ Pride Centre.
Our Vision
A world where every LGBTIQA+ person has a place where we are welcomed, valued, respected and celebrated.
Our Purpose
To connect, support and amplify LGBTIQA+ voices, resources, services and groups so that our communities are cohesive, resilient and thrive.
Our Values
Pride – We value pride, courage and strength. Together we can create a positive future.
Support – We support each other, inclusive of each other and value our diversity.
Celebration – We celebrate our LGBTIQA+ communities, honouring our history and our cultures.
Belonging – We welcome all to a place of acceptance, belonging, reconciliation and kindness.
Built by community. Sustained by community.
The Victorian Pride Centre was made possible by one-off funding from the State Government of Victoria in 2016, which contributed to the construction of a facility dedicated to LGBTIQA+ art, history, and community services. The City of Port Phillip gifted the land on which we stand, a gesture of extraordinary community generosity.
Without ongoing government funding, we rely on you to keep our doors open. Every donation large or small, directly sustains the services, spaces, and programs that our communities depend on.
Without ongoing government funding we need your support to keep our doors open. Please click here to see how you can help to shape the future for LGBTIQA+ people in Victoria.
