The Victorian Pride Centre and its architects and builders have been the recent recipient of several architectural design awards and nominations at the Property Council of Australia Awards, Victorian Architectural Awards, and City of Port Phillip Design Awards.

CEO of the Pride Centre, Justine Dalla Riva, spoke with Star Observer magazine in June 2022 about the significance of the Victorian Architectural Awards win, recognising the importance of creating welcoming and beautiful spaces for LGBTIQ+ communities.

“We are as beautiful as this building is, and we deserve something so iconic that acknowledges our past and creates a true place of welcome, now and into the future. There is permeance and protection in the concrete blades that make up the structure, elements of continuing evolution and the unfinished exposed elements that remind us that we still have work to do”
