Applications are now open for expressions of interest for Midsumma Festival 2023! The Victorian Pride Centre is excited to host a program of events that connects, supports and amplifies LGBTIQ+ voices!

As Midsumma Festival is Australia’s premier queer arts and cultural festival, a broad range of performances will be curated that showcase the Pride Centre’s values of pride, support, celebration and belonging. These performances will cover a range of styles across cabaret, comedy and theatre from a mix of bright, emerging artists and established acts within our diverse LGBTIQ+ communities.

We are accepting expressions of interest for performances to take place in our stunning new 100 seat Theatrette which comes equipped with a sound system, lighting and projector. We will be holding multiple shows in the evenings, with a run time of 1 hour per show (later shows may run longer by negotiation). Daytime sessions are also available. Venue hire fees for free events will be by negotiation.

Applications will remain open until Midsumma Festival registrations close (August 22nd) however we will be programming shows as we receive expressions of interest so slots may fill up before then. Get in quick!

The Victorian Pride Centre’s theatrette is a fully accessible venue.
